How do you teach your kids the Bible? Many people feel inadequate, but anyone can teach their kids about God's relationship with His people.
I'll always remember my trombone professor in college, he said,
"Your first year, when you're still figuring everything out,
all you have to do is stay one step ahead of the students."
It's the same way when you first start engaging your kids in God's Word. Many of the techniques studied on other pages of this website, can also be used with your kids! The best way to teach your kids is to study the Bible for yourself. Hopefully these resources can help!

Getting Started
1. Set aside time for yourself to read, study, pray over and memorize scripture
2. Talk to your kids about your relationship with Jesus in everyday life experiences
3. Use holidays as a time to focus on what God has done for the world
4. Incorporate prayer into your daily family routine
5. Decide how often you'll study the Bible with your kids. Will everyone study at the same time or will you study individually with each kid?
-Family devotion night
-Individual devotion or quiet times in the afternoon or evenings
6. Read and/or tell Bible stories to your kids. Let your kids act them out, or tell them back. Let your kids ask questions. Apply the lessons from the stories to your kids' lives.
7. Find a method of memorizing scripture that works for your family, and be consistent. During breakfast is a good time and creates family together time in the morning.
