Ready-To-Go Scripture Journal
Have you ever had Bible notes from church and your personal studies all over the place? What if you could have them all in one place? A Scripture Journal is the solution. You can make your own with a 3 ring binder and dividers, or buy a scripture journal that is pre-made with sections for each chapter of the Bible. I use this journal to keep chapter themes, and verses that I want to memorize all in one place.
-Creating Your Own Scripture Journal-
THINGS YOU'LL NEED
1. A 3-inch binder 2. 66 dividers, OR a set of chapter tabs for a Bible and cardstock 3. All of your Bible notes 4. A little bit of time |
WHAT TO DO
Take out all of the tabs and label them with the books of the Bible. Insert the dividers into your binder. Sort all of your studies, sermon notes, pictures, etc. by book of the Bible. |
If you consistently use this format for all of your studying, then you'll have your own personal commentary, and you can cross reference notes from different times in your life. (Note: You may have to purchase a second binder
for the New and Old Testaments once it starts getting too full,
or even separate binders for each book of the Bible!)
Be creative and decorate your binder to match your own study style!

Inductive Bible Study Charts
This is the number one resource I used to learn how to study the Bible. It explains the tools behind Bible study and gives practice tools to organize and thoroughly study the Bible. If I could only recommend one resource, this would be it.

SCRIPTURE STUDY NOTE PAGES
HOMILETIC
CHART
I learned this study tool in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). Don't be overwhelmed by its weird title! It's great for figuring out the meaning of a passage and it's application to your life.

CHARACTER STUDY
Interested in studying a specific person in the Bible? Use this chart to keep track of what you learn. Check out the reading plans for some starting passages.
|
TOPICAL
STUDY Another way to study scripture is to look at a specific topic. Pick something that you're trying to figure out in your own life, or an answer to a question you've been wondering about.

DAILY SPIRITUAL JOURNAL
One year when I was reading through my Bible I thought it would be great if I just kept a very short record of what I read and learned from it each day. This is the page that resulted.
