Prayer Journal
When I was in College, I heard a wonderful message by Pastor Bob Rohm at Cedarville University about having and creating a prayer journal. Praise Through Prayer
An important part of prayer is praising and thanking God for what He has done and who He is.
Many years ago I created this "God is..." Alphabetical Journal. For a year I looked at different magazines that came in the mail and cut out words that described God. I found a colored plain page journal, and placed a letter sticker on each page layout. Then, I glued the descriptors on each corresponding page. Kids would have fun with this project too! I suggest using "ex-" words on the X page. |
There's an App for that...
After buying an iPod touch a few years back (I didn't want to pay monthly data plans for a smart phone), I discovered that this little device really could do everything. I looked through several different prayer apps and found that I like Prayer Life the best. Here's what I like about it:
-PICTURES!
-Great icons that you can personalize for each type of prayer
-View your prayer list by type, or by contact
-Password protection
-Set a schedule to pray for different groups of people or types of prayer
-Space to journal about each prayer request
-You support missions by purchasing this App (I don't think it says this on her page, but I e-mailed the lady who created the app. She got back to me right away, she's a missionary and makes apps on the side.)
